Wireless Power Transfer System for industrial furnaces
NIWE has produced an animation video to explain how the wireless power system developed by the project works. This system is based in the induction concept, and enables to heat industrial furnaces without requiring any physical connection, transferring the energy through the air.
They system has been tested and validated in a real industrial plant, offering significant advantages in terms of operation, flexibility, efficiency, sustainability and profitability.
The main objective of NIWE is to develop and demonstrate new processes and equipment
for the metallurgical energy intensive industries, to reduce the energy consumption in the casting and manufacturing processes and to reduce the GHG emissions with the aim of achieving lower carbon footprint products.
