The NIWE project participated in the Industrial Technologies congress, one of the main event about production technologies across Europe, which was celebrated between 22nd and 24th of June in Amsterdam.
CIRCE, as a coordinator of the project, submitted and abstract that was accepted by the organization to be presented within the poster sessions. The work, entitled “New induction wireless manufacturing efficient process for energy intensive industries”, showed the results obtained by the consortium during the three years of the project.
One of the most important and innovative result is the development of a new furnace based on the energy transfer by an induction system, to be applied for the metal industry, although it is expected to expand its replication to other sectors. In addition, the new furnace helps to improve the flexibility and adaptability of the plants, while reducing the energy consumption f the furnace.
